For Dr. Fong, pediatric dentistry is not just a career but a passion. Her love for what she does and her caring nature make her a wonderful fit for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Fong is committed to taking care of her patients’ oral health and enjoys being part of their growing up.

Dr. Fong strives to provide the best possible care for all patients including those with special healthcare needs.

Journey to Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Fong’s dental journey began at UC Davis where she received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology with high honors. She then pursued a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at UCLA where she excelled and received multiple scholarships. Soon after, she decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry and obtained her Pediatric Dentistry Certificate at the esteemed Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.

A Passion to Serve

Dr. Fong’s passion for dentistry reaches beyond the office. She has always sought opportunities to be involved in numerous dental community outreach programs. Many of them focus on providing dental care to underserved children.

During her dental schooling at UCLA, she joined the school’s Community Based Clinical Education program where she provided oral exam cleanings and extractions to underprivileged families and children. She also served international communities and led two Honduras mission trips with the Global Dental Brigades.

Every year, Dr. Fong volunteers for Give Kids a Smile Day, where over 100 underprivileged children in Los Angeles communities are given free dental care. This program has a special place in her heart and she has been a part of it since her years at UCLA.

Dr. Fong also believes in the importance of promoting oral health education. She has educated numerous lower-income families about infant and toddler oral health and visited many elementary schools in hopes of helping children understand what they can do to preserve their oral health.

Outside the Office

When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Fong enjoys watching movies, camping, and hiking. She is also passionate about food and loves baking, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops in the Los Angeles area.

Dr. Fong is an integral part of the TLC for Smiles family. Her empathy and love for her patients drive her to go above and beyond in delivering exceptional patient care.
